Mulefoot Hogs
Mulefoot pigs are considered “critically rare”, so, we took this into consideration when choosing which breed to raise.
Our desire is to help prevent these endangered animals from becoming extinct by continuing to breed them and teach others about this unique pig!
Mulefoots take a little longer to grow than your average commercial pork, but they’re friendly and docile, which is desirable. These pigs are especially good at rooting around and foraging, so it doesn’t take a lot of extra to get them to the right size for butchering. We do supplement with organic hog grower feed when needed.
The fat on this pork is thick and flavorful, and gives the meat a unique taste. It’s not your typical bland cut of pork.
Our mulefoot pigs are registered with the American Mulefoot Hog Association, and one day, we hope to offer registered mulefoot piglets as well.
