These petite kabocha squash are shaped like a squat pumpkin and have a dull deep green skin with some close to white stripes, and a very yellow-orange flesh color inside.
Kabocha has a naturally sweet flavor and it is simiular in texture and flavor to a pumpkin and sweet potato combined. Some Kabocha can taste similar to the russet potato as well. Kabocha is good as a side dish, in soups or as a substitute for potatoes.
There are 10-15 squash in each box – just in from Azure farms.
