Yerba mate is often selected as an alternative to coffee because it has lower acidity, is easier on the stomach, and doesn’t cause any jittery feeling. It is packed with vitamins, antioxidants, and amino acids, as well as several nervous system stimulants, to provide a feeling of sustained energy throughout the day. Yerba mate tea boosts immunity, cleanses your body, improves mood, and enhances focus. For tea, pour 1 c boiling water over 1 tsp of yerba mate, cover, and steep 3-5 minutes.
