Gala apples are a cross between a Golden Delicious and a Kidd's Orange Red. They are heart-shaped and small with distinctive yellow-orange skin with red vertical striping. It's yellow to cream-colored flesh is sweet, mild and slightly grainy. Thinner skinned than most apples, and fairly resistant to bruising. Great as a snack or in a salad. A soft eating apple due to their lack of crispiness, which makes them a great apple for denture wearers to enjoy!
Azure keeps its produce at a chilled temperature in order to maximum the freshness and shelf life of the product. In order for customers to enjoy Azure produce for more than a couple of days beyond delivery, it must be kept at a refrigerated temperature at all times until consumption. In addition, do not wash your produce until you are ready to enjoy it. The fruit bowls are lovely but produce will not last out on the counter top.
