Written by Karen Slusher, Chief Experience Officer at Azure Standard, The Radical Thread grew out of her own journey of leadership, faith, reflection, and the realization that some of the most important lessons are the ones we have to return to again and again.

Karen has spent 25 years leading people, building teams, shaping customer and employee experience, and challenging traditional ideas about what leadership should look like. But this book did not come from a belief that great leaders eventually arrive. It came from the opposite realization: leadership continually reveals where we still need to grow.

At the center of The Radical Thread is the leadership of Jesus.

Why Karen Wrote The Radical Thread

Karen wrote this book first for herself.

She wanted a resource she could return to when she needed to be reminded to slow down, become more present, extend grace, choose courage, forgive, listen more deeply, or reconnect with the purpose behind her leadership.

Because none of us have arrived.

Even experienced leaders can lose their way. We get busy. We become distracted. We react instead of respond. We focus on results and unintentionally stop seeing the people standing in front of us.
