Keta Salmon (Oncorhynchus keta) are also known as Chum Salmon.  The average weight is around 8 pounds and they can grow to be 25 to 27 pounds.  Keta Salmon survive and thrive in the rich ocean waters of Southeast Alaska on a natural bounty of herring, squid, shrimp and krill.  They are harvested when natural oil content, color and texture are at their peak.
