Azure Husbandry Rhubarb, Organic

This rhubarb is grown on Azure Farm in both Moro, OR and Dufur, OR.  It is hand-picked fresh for each route to guarantee excellent quality.  A mixture of 2 different varieties,Strawberry Rhubarb and Canada Red, are in each 2 lb. package.

Rhubarb is very high in Potassium, Calcium, and Vitamins A & C.  It makes a wonderful addition to pies and jams and tends to enhance the flavor of other fruits and berries.  Rhubarb can also be dehydrated and infused with fruit juice.  Fresh or frozen and thawed, small pieces of rhubarb smashed in a garlic press will readily release the juice, which is excellent for keeping fruits from discoloring.
